The College of Education for Women Council Holds its First Meeting for the 2025-2026 Academic Year
On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the College of Education for Women Council held its first meeting for the academic year 2025-2026, chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof. Athmar Shaker Majid Al-Shatri, and attended by the members of the Council.
The Dean began the meeting with a welcome speech to the attendees. Then, the agenda was opened with the Presidency of the University of Baghdad’s directives regarding the college’s preparations for the start of the new academic year for undergraduate students and the activation of scientific activities for the scientific and administrative departments and units in terms of workshops, seminars, and courses, in a manner that contributes to the sustainable development of the university environment.
Reference was also made to the official activation of email for all departments and units, as being approved and authorized by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
The Council also discussed the approval of a number of scientific discussion committees and the awarding of academic degrees at the master’s and higher diploma levels, as well as discussing postgraduate theses and dissertations within eight specialized scientific committees.
The Dean also instructed the Director of Services at the College, Mr. Idris Sadik Rahim, to follow up on the completion of maintenance work and provide the necessary supplies and services to serve students and faculty members.
